Topic: Land Management from Deep time to 1851

Land use by traditional owners in deep time was marked by oneness with the environment and sustainable management. Land use from 1835 to 1851 was marked by mis-management and an unsustainable relationship with nature.

Richard Broome AM, President of the Royal Historical Society and Emeritus Professor of History at La Trobe is the author/co-author of twenty books and another ten in subsequent editions in diverse topics, including: Indigenous history, local, immigration and environmental history, and biography. His Aboriginal Victorians. A History since 1800 (2005) was shortlisted for three and won two prizes. It is now in a second edition (2024).

Visitors Welcome. Doors open 1.30 p.m. Two dollars entry includes refreshments .  Our meetings generally end around 4pm.
